Days of Service

The Day of Service is a day-long service project for University of Chicago students, faculty and staff members. Working with a group of community agencies selected around a specific theme, the Day of Service offers participants the opportunity to volunteer at Chicago community-based agencies and to reflect on the meaning of service for society today.

EXPERIENCE CHICAGO THROUGH SERVICE

UCSC is planning Experience Chicago Through Service, our annual Day of Service and Reflection on Saturday of O-Week for the College. More than 600 entering students, staff, and faculty work on substantive service projects with community organizations throughout the Southside.

To register a group or as an individual, contact David Hays at dhays@uchicago.edu.

As a Community Partner:
We would love to have you host a group of 7-10 Day of Service participants at your community agency. Teams of volunteers learn about their site and participate in a 3-hour service project to support the site's work in the community.
